Simply Step Away From the Kraft

It's time to Stamp Simply! This challenge is super fun and so Simple. ;) Sorry...couldn't resist. This week we need to create a card with a leaf image but you also have to sponge as well. You can get all of the deets overe at Sharon's fantabulous blog while you are checking out her amazing sample.

Get the kraft out! ;)

Seriously! I realized as I was snapping a shot of this weeks card that I have been OD'ing on the stuff lately! EPLS...CAS (clean & simple)....and kraft. Lately I am just loving it and just can't seem to pull myself away! I think I need a mini challenge for myself. You know, to create something bright and a wee bit wild! ;) I will work on that this weekend. lol.

Ok...back to this FUN challenge! Here's what I came up with.....

LOVE this leaf! This is from Unity Stamp Co. I used a sentiment from PTI. Uh, yeah....just used this one. It was still sitting on my acrylic block and looked perfect for this one. I sponged the leaf first with ink then covered it with a little glossy accents. It needed to shine a bit. Added a few holes and a bit of stitching...easy.

Be sure and check out the rest of the team....

A Paper Posies Challenge...Finally Home

Hey Peeps!

So sorry for the delay. I was fortunate enough to head down to Miami this past weekend for the Colts game. FUN! I had the best time at the game. What a blast! Those Miami fans know how to have a good time! I LOVED all of the music...the game was EXCITING! Super fun stuff! Thankfully, Michele from Paper Posies posted the challenge I am hosting for this week. Phew! Thank you so much, Michele!

This weeks challenge will be a 'limited supply' challenge of sorts with one restriction....jewels. You must use jewels. I was so inspired by the beautiful jewel Basic Grey flower from this months kit that I just had to incorporate that somehow!

Soooo.....please create a project using....

1.) ....one, and only one patterned paper. Yup, if you were to get really creative and it was one of this months double sided sheets you could use both sides on your project.

2.) ....two sheets of card stock. You may use two different colored pieces but only two.

3.) ....gems, jewels! ...It's gotta have BLING!

4.) .....NO ribbon! Yikes! You know I LOVE ribbon but not today! Today we are leaving the ribbon on the spool and working without it!

Here is my creation for todays challenge.....
EPLS baby. ;) Now it's your turn. Please be sure and link you beautiful creations here.
Hope you all get a chance to play! I will post you all soon!

Who Does That?

...why Unity of course! ;)

I love how Angela is always changing things to make everything 'fresh'. There is always something fun, new, and exciting! This week marks our first new blog hop, 'Who Does That?'. There are so many new stamps. There are so many beautiful samples. So much to do and see! You can find all of the news at the Unity blog.

I'm using one of my favorite new releases for today. I had such a hard time choosing which one to show you today! I opted for a layout that I created using Simple Blessings. Take a look....

That's my youngest from last Halloween. The force was with us that year. We had Anikan, Obi-Won (sp), and Yoda. Obviously Hayden was Yoda. He really wasn't loving the hat. This is one of the few pictures I have of him with a smile while wearing it. He wanted that thing off pronto! We are now trying to choose costumes for this year. Unfortunately for me the Grim Reaper is high on one of my boys lists. Yikes! I'm guessing my next Halloween layouts won't be so much fun! ;)

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your hop! Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day! :)

Paper Posies

Happy Tuesday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours was pretty relaxing which is always a good thing. I took the boys to lunch yesterday which was lots of fun and then a little of this and that.

Now on to scrapbooking. :) I really love this layout I created with my Paper Posies kit. It's been such a fun month guesting for this kit club. I LOVE this months kit. I used one of my photos from Florida this summer.

This is one of my favorite photos. I really loved the evenings when we would go shelling. The boys really enjoyed this and had such a great time. This months kit was perfect for this photo.

You can get more information about the Paper Posies kit here.

Hope you all have a great day! I will post you soon!

Over Stamped!

;) Happy Friday! :) It's Stamp Simply time! :)

This weeks challenge is to stamp a sentiment over your stamped image. You can find all of the deets over at the fabulous Sharon Johnson's blog. This is ssnotime103.

I pulled out some new Unity for this one. This set is actually not available just yet but will be soon.

I stamped the ornament and then overstamped the sentiment. I also added a little Glossy Accents from Ranger. The paper is Papertrey Ink.

Be sure and check out the rest of the Stamp Simply team.....

Ok...final one of the day. Phew! It's been a busy day! ;) Next up....

I'm really excited to be doing a guest spot with the kit site Paper Posies. I was so excited when my kit arrived. It's full of so many wonderful products! CUTE stuff! My first project is a card that I created using a Lizzie Anne stamp that I picked up at CHA.

(I'm sharing this one 'cause I'm obviously in a 'kraft kind of mood' today. ;) Not sure what is up with me...and it's one of my favs.) ;)

I love the papers and embellis from this months kit. You can find more information at the site.

And if you are looking for some of the other posts from today you can find:

I will post more soon! I hope you all have a great day! :)

Post # 4 ... The Stamps of Life

I'm so excited about this one! Stephanie Barnard has started a new stamp company called The Stamps of Life. Today marks the day of her first release and can I tell you how incredibly CUTE it is! LOVE it! One of the amazing things about her new company is that she is not only offering these super cute stamps in some of the best acrylic I have ever had the pleasure of using but she is also offering digital downloads of these same images. How many ways do I love that! Digital images offer you so many creative options for the stamps. I love being able to color them, resize them, add them to pictures. It's such a fun way to 'stamp'.
I'm so honored to be part of her new design team and I am here to share with you a couple of my digital creations. I have to CAS cards for you today.
First up, I played with the 'thanks' sentiment from the kit. I changed the color of the flower in Photoshop and printed it on white paper. Take a look...
How cute is that font! I LOVE the this!
Next up I took one of the circles and changed the color of the background, resized them, added the same 'thanks' sentiment as above (removing the flower) and printed it on a little kraft card stock....
I truly love how EPLS digital designs are. I love the freedom that they give you and I am so in LOVE with this new stamp company. I look forward to seeing what else Stephanie has in store for us! Be sure and check out her new store here.
...and check out the rest of the design team....
Post you soon....I've got another post on the way....and if you are looking for my other posts from today you can find them here:
Back in a bit. :)

Time for another. Here's what I've had so far: Jacksonbelle can be found here. Unity can be found here.
Now on to a little bit of

Flower Soft!

It's time for another Flower Soft challenge and you won't want to miss this one! This months challenge is focusing on the Autumn mix. This is one of my favorite colors. I really love it! I actually used one of Flower Softs stamps for this challenge as well. This one is called Wishing Well.
I really love this image. I colored it with copics and then then added a bit of distressing.
Now be sure to check out the rest of the design team...
...and head on over to the Flower Soft blog to check out the give away. You have the chance to win your own Autumn mix! :)
Back in a bit with more for you! :) Post you soon!

Post #2 ... Unity Kit Of the Month Challenge

Time for Post #2!

It's the first of the month which means time for another Kit of the Month challenge! In typical Unity style we are ever changing and revamping this challenge.

What are you playing for???

Your very own September Kit of the Month! This is such a CUTE kit!

What do you have to do?

Create a card using the colors green, purple, orange, and black. That's it! EPLS! Any variation of those colors. Could be pastel, bold and bright....your choice!

Here's my little take on this challenge....and shockingly, it's NOT a Halloween card! Now, how the heck did that happen? ;)

Be sure and check out the rest of the designers that are playing along...
Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure and upload your creations to SCS using the keyword USK01 so that you can be entered to win.
Back in a bit with more! :) Post you soon!

It's going to be a whirl-wind day of posting for me today. I have so many things to share with you! Fun, fun, FUN! :) Lot's of new stuff....lot's of fun stuff....lot's of kraft....kraft? Well, yeah, I got a wee bit crazy with it last night. You'll see. Anyhoo, let's get this party started!

Woohoo! It's time for another fun challenge. Well, this month in fact will be filled with so many fun challenges! :) You can get all the fun deets over at the Jacksonbelle blog.

Todays challenge is a one layer card. I so love making these! Of course, like everything, I sometimes interpret the rules a bit 'loosely'. ;) Here's what I came up with....

I pulled out a little Cosmo Cricket for this one by applying a little rub-on to the card front. EPLS! Love that!
